The loft is equipped with a shower and private bathroom, a small kitchenette with coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven, cube sized fridge and sink, and a small deck with patio table and two chairs overlooking a woodsy meadow. There is no stove, allowing for only basic food preparation but a visitor guide is provided with information on local restaurants, take out options and services.
The barn loft has a gable roof, recognized by its triangular shape, with a double window facing South and a door window facing North over the meadow. There is no air conditioning but the windows can provide a good cross breeze and its spray foam insulation keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A small fan is also provided, as needed. It has a smoke detector but no carbon monoxide detector. The loft living space consists of the entire second floor of an old horse barn, with 14 stairs leading to the main entrance. It is not wheelchair accessible, and not recommended for persons with mobility restrictions.
